The Chadian President toured the hospital and listened to a detailed explanation from Dr. Ali Sultan Al-Sanani about the hospital’s work progress, the tasks and duties it undertakes, the nature of the medical, therapeutic and humanitarian services it provides, the various departments it contains, and three main areas, including the red zone (the emergency department), which is designated for treating critical cases, which It needs immediate and rapid intervention, and this area is equipped with the latest equipment, including From the various villages adjacent to Amdgrass, in addition to a pharmacy containing all types of medicines and antibiotics, in addition to other specialized treatments such as gynecology, obstetrics, and other diseases.
The hospital also includes five inpatient wards with a total capacity of 50 beds, which can be increased to double, where the patients’ condition is carefully monitored and the necessary treatment is provided to them.
The Chadian President praised the efforts of the United Arab Emirates in the field of humanitarian and charitable work, expressing his country’s thanks and appreciation to the leadership, government and people of the Emirates for establishing this hospital. He stressed that the Emirates is a country of giving, goodness and humanity, and this is not strange to it.
On this occasion, Dr. Ali Sultan Al-Sanani said that the hospital aims to extend a helping hand, support and humanitarian support to the refugees from the Sudanese brothers affected by the difficult conditions caused by the conflict in the sisterly Republic of Sudan and to support the efforts of the Republic of Chad in this regard, within the framework of the constant keenness to provide the necessary medical services, especially to the groups. The most affected are the sick, children, the elderly and women.
The number of patients admitted to the hospital, which has an area of 200 by 200 square meters, reached more than 9,283 patients, and 116 different surgical operations were performed.
The hospital is run by a medical staff consisting of 59 doctors, nurses, specialists and technicians in all specialties of various nationalities and receives between 100 and 150 patients daily.
The hospital was opened last July in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, in support of fellow Sudanese refugees affected by the difficult conditions caused by the conflict in the sisterly Republic of Sudan, and in support of the efforts of the Republic of Chad within the framework of the response to alleviate The humanitarian situation resulting from the influx of large numbers of Sudanese refugees fleeing their country due to the conditions that brotherly Sudan is going through has been raised.
The hospital is managed by the Emirati Humanitarian Team, which consists of representatives of three entities: the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, and the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works. These entities work in coordination with the Foreign Aid Office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A number of members of the medical staff at the hospital expressed their pride in performing this humanitarian duty and contributing to the treatment of the Sudanese brothers who took refuge in Chad and providing them with the necessary treatment. They pointed out that their work in the hospital during this period is a national duty and a responsibility that the UAE has always been keen to undertake, stressing that the country The UAE has provided and continues to provide a unique model of humanitarian giving and support of brotherly and friendly countries in times of adversity and adversity.
