Chad: Attack leaves several dead in N’Djamena

Libreville, Wednesday February 28, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – The tragedy occurred during an assault last night against the National State Security Agency.

Shots were heard last night after an attack on the National State Security Agency in N’Djamena, Chad. In a press release released this Wednesday, the government spoke of an assassination attempt on the President of the Supreme Court, Samir Adam Annour, which was foiled. The Chadian authorities accuse Abakar Torabi, financial manager of the Socialist Party Without Borders (PSF) who allegedly instigated the said attack. “The situation took a dramatic turn with a deliberate attack by the accomplices of this individual, carried out by elements of the PSF and at their “headed the president of this movement, Yaya Dillo, against the premises of the National State Security Agency (ANSE), causing several deaths”, underlines the government.

The authorities would like to reassure that the situation is “now completely under control. The perpetrators of this act have been arrested or are being sought and will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.” “The government wishes to reassure the Chadian population and invites them to go about their business normally,” the text indicates. On reminder, Samir Adam Annour, President of the Supreme Court, was attacked on Monday February 19 by unidentified individuals.
