The textile discounter Takko Fashion GmbH announced the final farewell to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Andreas Silbernagel on Tuesday. The CFO is leaving the company “at the end of March at his own request,” said the retailer.
Silbernagel, who has been with Takko for more than thirty years and took over the position of CFO in 2018, has said that he has been suspended since the beginning of the year “for health reasons,” the company said. Since then, Ernst de Kuiper has acted as interim CFO. De Kuiper will now continue to head the finance department, said Takko.
“Over the entire period of his activity, Andreas Silbernagel has played an essential role in the development of the company,” said Advisory Board Chairman Karl-Heinz Holland in a press release. “Andreas has absolutely internalized and lived the Takko spirit. We are extremely grateful to him for his commitment and great cooperation. We wish him all the best for his future, both personally and professionally. “
The retailer also confirmed the change in management announced a few weeks ago: According to this, Markus Rech will be the new CEO on April 1st. “The 47-year-old started working for the company in February to ensure a smooth handover in the second quarter,” the company explained. Most recently, the Chairman of the Advisory Board Holland held the post on an interim basis after Alexander Mattschull left.
