CFE Board of Directors appoints new directors

The Board of Directors of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) of the new administration, in its first session, approved the appointments proposed by the general director, Emilia Calleja Alor, to direct the strategic areas of the state company.

The body chaired by Luz Elena González Escobar, who is head of the Ministry of Energy (SENER), approved the appointment of 5 directors and 6 deputy directors.

In the session, Calleja Alor was also presented as the new general director of CFE, since in the first minutes of October 1 she assumed the position entrusted to her by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

The head of SENER highlighted the career of the official, who has more than 20 years in the state company. He added that her profile was selected by the president for her high specialization, given her performance as general director of CFE Generation I.

Calleja Alor said she felt honored to lead the company and recognized the work of former director Manuel Bartlett Díaz and his contribution to the rescue of the CFE.

He stressed that progress will be made in the same direction, under the objectives of the second floor of the Fourth Transformation, for which he called on the workers to continue supporting the important work of the CFE in this new stage.

In the Board session, Héctor Sergio López Villareal was appointed as Corporate Director of Operations; Liliana Barrera Jiménez, as Corporate Director of Commercial Business; Eugenio Amador Quijano, as head of the Corporate Finance Directorate; Yesica Luna Espino, as Corporate Director of Administration; and Rafael Narváez Ávila, as head of the Corporate Directorate of Strategic Planning.

In addition, Francisco Javier Maldonado Ramos was appointed as deputy director of Unregulated Business; David Esaú López Campos as deputy director of Financial Operations; Loreli García Solís, as deputy director of Financial Control; Manuel Alejandro Alvarado Rodríguez, as head of the Investment Project Evaluation subdirectorate; Juan Francisco Cuevas Villagómez, as deputy director of Engineering and Construction Administration; and María Elena Villarreal Salazar, as deputy director of New Business.

Present at the Council session were the Secretary of the Treasury, Rogelio Ramírez de la O; the Independent councilors Rosío Vargas Suárez, Tito Rubín Cruz, Héctor López Sánchez and Antonio Echevarría García; inter alia.
