Until Thursday, a two-year fix was paid for a kilowatt hour of power at the two-year fixed rate D02d in the ČEZ Distribuce distribution area of CZK 2.64. It has been CZK 4.30 since Friday.
–
The price of the power component thus rose by 63 percent. For the three-year fixation from today, the price of CZK 3.91 applies to this rate, while yesterday it was CZK 2.60. The increase in the power component is thus 50 percent.
–
For a two-year fixation with an average annual consumption of 2,500 kWh, as stated by ČEZ itself for its customers, the annual difference in payment is CZK 4,150 and for a three-year fixation CZK 3,275.

The largest distributor in the country
CEZ’s distribution area includes most of the country except Prague (PRE distribution area) and southern Bohemia and Moravia (E.ON distribution area). Even in the remaining areas, rates have risen in price, with slight differences.
–
Power electricity is only part of the price on the consumer’s invoice – it makes up less than half. The rest consists of a regulated component, which includes, for example, a distribution fee, a contribution to renewable energy sources or a fixed monthly payment for the circuit breaker.
–
According to the new tariff, the total price for electricity for a two-year fix, including the regulated component, has been CZK 6.47 per kilowatt hour since Friday, compared to CZK 4.78 until yesterday. For the three-year fixation, CZK 4.74 was paid and on Friday it is already CZK 6.05.
–
But that is not the final price yet. To this must be added the payment for the circuit breaker (depending on the reserved power of the circuit breaker), the contribution to renewable sources (which is the same for all households – 60 pennies for each kWh consumed) and a fixed monthly payment. These payments mean an additional hundred crowns a month for the average household.
–
For most customers, however, the prices of the largest Czech supplier have not changed yet. Most of them have a contract for an indefinite period, and so far the prices remain the same as before. In the same way, prices for customers with already agreed fixed contracts remain unchanged.
