/ world today news/ CEZ declares that it has fulfilled its obligations under the contract for the privatization of electricity distribution companies in Western Bulgaria since 2004. This morning the company released a statement announcing that the contract is available online for anyone who wants to read its terms.
The company is adamant that it complies with the law and is one of the largest taxpayers in Bulgaria.
Since taking over the electricity supply in the western part of the country, the company has paid taxes in the amount of BGN 429 million.
A day ago CEZ assured that their services are at market prices. Since the company’s entry into the Bulgarian market until now, none of the regular regulatory and tax inspections have shown that CEZ companies in Bulgaria use services at non-market prices – provided internally within the group or by an external supplier.
