ČEZ again brutally raised the price of electricity and gas. People don’t get paid, but the managers are laughed at, they get a package

Hard to believe situations occur on the Czech electricity and gas market. On the one hand, there are households that, as a result of rising prices, are sinking more and more to the bottom, and on the other hand, there are companies and managers who subsidize these prices and themselves calculate record profits, or rather rewards.

New price lists every month

The symbol of this behavior is the semi-state giant ČEZ, which is all the more saddened by the fact that 70 percent of all Czechs are mediated by it. And yet he raised their energy prices again this month, after raising them to incredible levels the previous month. It seems that when he gets away with raising prices, he tries another and so on and on.

It must be added that ČEZ was not alone in this. New and very brutally increased price lists were also shown by Pražská energetika, where the price increase compared to last year is already 450%. The semi-state giant is in a very similar situation and it cannot be said that it saves customers in any way.

In addition, the company tries to be vague when publishing new prices, claiming that nothing changes for existing customers. But that is only partially true. As soon as your fixation ends, you will have to switch to higher ongoing prices, or take out a fixation for several years ahead at prices that are literally outrageous.

Management celebrates

At such a moment, it is absolutely unbelievable that the management of ČEZ is handing out record rewards of 135 million crowns. At the same time, this does not include the million-dollar options to which the management is entitled from the past. For example, the head of the company sold the shares of the company, which he received as a reward, for 24 million crowns in June alone. He collected 35 million in bonuses for last year. It must be added that he also has a high managerial salary.

But why does the management of a semi-state company receive such huge sums? What was the reason for the company’s record profits? Shouldn’t his priority be rather to keep prices at such levels that they are not liquidating for citizens who are indirectly shareholders of the company?
