The CEU Jesús María School of Alicante It was founded in 1895 by the Jesús María congregation and acquired by the San Pablo CEU University Foundation in 2004. It is one of the 10 schools that the CEU owns in Spain. The CEU, founded by the Catholic Association of Propagandists, an organization created by Father Ángel Ayala, is a Non-profit charitable educational institution with over 85 years experience in education.

More than simply transferring knowledge, with their teaching programs they aim to develop the Ability to identify, pose and solve problemswith a critical spirit and the ability to discern the different options, through a methodology of academic excellence and information rigor, which combines with the development of other dimensions of the personality through the promotion of volunteering, exchanges and extracurricular cultural and sporting activities.

There is a wide range of activities on offer for all stages, among others: athletics, let’s play, musical theatre, Wedo robotics, basketball, futsal, tennis, skating, rhythmic gymnastics, judo, table tennis and volleyball. In the artistic and cultural activities block there are Chess, Modern Dance, San Pablo Mountaineering Club, Supervised Study, Computer Skills, Board Games, Crafts (artistic painting) and Robotics, Science of Entertainment, etc.

Also, the school has 55,000 m2 of the land (45 sq.m2 per student) e 11,200 m2 built only for education (9 m2 per student). The main attraction of the center are its large gardens with a diversity of vegetation that generates different environments, a school garden and a citrus grove. The College is currently active process of building new spaces that the building land permits.

The Ministry of Education of Valencian government believe how Center for the Promotion of Physical Activity and Sport (CEPAFE College) at the CEU Jesús María. The goal of this program is for schools to promote physical activity and sport among their students. Also, it is recognized as Cambridge English School.
