CETIAT draws up a “remarkable” assessment of 2021 and hopes for an equally rich year in 2022

The center, located in Villeurbanne, returned to industry in 2021 and recorded a 10% increase in turnover.

After appointing a new managing director in the person of Pierre Claudel, the CETIAT, Technical Center for Aeraulic Industries, takes stock of the past year. A year 2021, during which all the indicators were on the rise. Financially, the center recorded a turnover of 13.7 million euros, compared to 12.5 in 2020, i.e. a growth of 10%. A new management of collective actions has been implemented, included in the 2020-2023 Objectives and Performance Contract, which defines a different mode of relationship with the profession. A total of 22 multi-year projects have thus been launched. An acceleration which is felt on the budget of collective actions, which pass from 3.8 million euros to 4.2 million euros. On the investment side, 600,000 euros have been allocated to the productivity of the test and calibration platforms. The decarbonization component was also addressed, by supplying its laboratories with hydrogen.

CETIAT predicts a favorable year 2022 but remains cautious, for fear of shortages that could affect the profession. The center wishes to invest in the improvement of its facilities and the development of its activities (renovation in the field of metrology, new platforms, etc.). A large-scale project on the combustion of pure hydrogen should be set up.
