The castle in Český Krumlov was even visited by almost two thousand more people in July than a year ago – a total of 64,100 people.
“We are pleased that tourists have returned to the city in recent weeks, and we are all the more pleased that these are mainly Czech visitors and visitors from neighboring countries,” said the mayor of Český Krumlov, Dalibor Card (ČSSD).

Compared to previous years, the composition of tourists has changed significantly, with previously frequent visitors from Asia and overseas missing. Finding accommodation in the city is extremely difficult until the end of the holidays.
“Český Krumlov reports full occupancy not only thanks to monuments, but also thanks to paddlers,” said Milan Petr, manager of the Hotel.cz reservation portal.
