The blue sector of CESFAM Nororiente, together with the Department of the Environment of the Municipality of Los Angeles, also celebrated International Earth Day, delivering information and giving away plants and seeds to promote the installation of home gardens.
Lily Soto, nurse and coordinator of the blue sector of the family health center located in the Endesa population, indicated that the idea was to involve users and officials of the establishment in the active care of their environment in this activity of dissemination and awareness encourage protective actions such as recycling.
“This activity is carried out to be able to raise awareness among the population and officials also for the care of the land, of the water; how we can recycle, the recycling points and, in that, we coordinated together with the Municipality’s Department of the Environment so that it would support us in the CESFAM”.
INVITATION FOR THIS SATURDAY
Carlos Cruz, environmental educator from the Department of the Environment, took advantage of the event to invite the community to the first community exchange of plants, a family activity that will include interactive games, exhibitions and distribution of informative material.
“The idea is that the neighbors or the community in general bring their plants and exchange them for some of our species. We are going to have more than a thousand, between plants and trees to exchange, between native trees and indoor and outdoor plants”.
The activity will take place this Saturday, April 22, between 12:00 and 18:00, in Plaza Pinto in our city.
