Cesc Fabregas Announces Retirement and Returns to Como as Youth Team Coach

Cesc Fabregas, the former Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona midfielder, announced his retirement from football, on Saturday, after a wonderful 20-year career, to go to coach the youth team at his last club, Como, Italy.

Fabregas, 36, said on Twitter: “It is a very sad time that I will hang up my shoes. I appreciate everything from my first days with Barcelona and my periods at Arsenal, Barcelona again, Chelsea, Monaco and Como.”

The star, crowned with the 2010 World Cup with Spain, added: “Starting with lifting the World Cup and the European Championship, passing by winning everything in England and Spain and most of the European titles. It was a journey I will not forget.”
