Mexico City. The former governor of Chihuahua, Cesar Duarte Jaquez, was allegedly detained in the United States.
The first versions refer to the fact that the former president of Chihuahua was captured in Miami, Florida.
Duarte Jaquez is accused of diverting more than 1.2 billion pesos from the local treasury, and there are ten criminal cases against him in which arrest warrants have been issued.

According to Interpol records, Duarte Jáquez faces charges of aggravated embezzlement, electoral embezzlement.
From the first quarter of 2017, César Duarte was considered a fugitive from justice and initially it emerged that he had fled to the city of El Paso, Texas, United States, so as not to be detained for the acts of corruption imputed to him.
The first arrest warrant against him was for an alleged embezzlement of 6 billion pesos and the deviation of 250 million pesos for the local electoral campaign in favor of the Institutional Revolutionary Party in 2015.
In this way, the then Attorney General’s Office requested the cooperation of Interpol for its location and arrest.
