“Chelsea” announced that the Spaniard Cesar Azpilicueta will leave the football club.
“After 11 years, 508 matches and 9 trophies, Cesar Azpilicueta decided it was time to leave Chelsea. Congratulations on all that has been achieved. You will forever be a Chelsea legend. Aspi became the first player to win every trophy for Chelsea. During his time at the club, he won the hearts of the fans and cemented his place in the history of the club,” the club said in a statement.
Azpilicueta moved to Chelsea from French side Marseille in the summer of 2012.
As part of the London team, the Spaniard became a two-time champion of England, the owner of the FA Cup, the English League Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the winner of the Champions League, the Club World Cup and twice the Europa League.
Atlético Madrid have announced the signing of former Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta. The contract with the 33-year-old Spaniard runs until 2024.
