CES 2021: a strong presence from South Korea with more than 330 participants

SEOUL, 04 Jan. (Yonhap) – More than 330 South Korean exhibitors will showcase their products and services at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2021, data from the organizer showed on Monday.

So far, 338 South Korean companies, institutions and universities have registered for the world’s largest technology fair, according to the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). The event will be held this year online from January 11 to 14 due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The number of South Korean participants will however be down compared to the last edition in which 390 entities took part but still represents the second largest after the United States which will send more than 560 companies.

Last year, South Korea placed third in CES attendance, behind the United States and China.

Samsung Electronics Co. and LG Electronics Inc. will showcase South Korea’s latest technological innovations at CES 2021.

The two tech giants have won dozens of awards at the CES Innovation Awards 2021, 44 for Samsung and 24 for LG.
