The most common cancers in the Hispanic community in the US are breast, cervical, colorectal, lung and prostate, among others, says Dr. Generosa Grana, director of the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Cooper. Grana says that she has detected that Hispanic women develop cervical cancer derived from the human papillomavirus (HPV), which could be prevented with the vaccine.
