Cervantes will perform at the National Library

A selection of plays from the “Nuestro Teatro” contest held during the pandemic can be seen for a month at the National Library, outdoors and with prior reservation through the Alternative Theater portal, since places are limited and it will be carried out with the protocol that governs the theatrical activity.

The initiative is the product of a joint effort between the Cervantes National Theater, the Ministry of Culture of the Nation and the National Library. The works can be seen on the library esplanade in the Recoleta neighborhood, at Agüero 2502.

The works will be:

  • “Civilización”, by Mariano Saba, directed by Lorena Vega and with Julieta Brito, Pablo Fusco, Andrea Nussembaum, María Inés Sancerni and Mariano Sayavedra (Thursday 21 to Sunday 24).
  • “Lo subtle del desamor”, by Anahí Ribeiro, directed by Paula Marull and performances by Héctor Díaz, Malena Figó, María Marull and Marcelo Subiotto (Thursday 28 to Sunday 31).
  • “Un hembro”, by Rubén Sabadini, directed by Laura Paredes and performed by Maiamar Abrodos, Juan Barberini, Claudia Cantero, Pilar Gamboa and Horacio Marassi (Thursday 4th to Sunday 7th February, although the performance on Saturday 6th will be at 10.30pm) .
  • “La Ilusión del rubio”, by Santiago San Paulo, directed by Gastón Marioni and performance by Martín Slipak (Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 February).
  • “That church full of enemies armed to the teeth”, by Agustín Sáiz, directed by Emiliano Dionisi, with Daniel Casablanca and Julián Ponce Campos (Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 February).
  • “The eye of destiny”, by Francisco Estrada, directed by Mariela Asensio and performances by Lucía Adúriz, Laura Cymer, Osqui Guzmán and Agustín Rittano (Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 February).
  • “Anda Calabaza”, with María Estanciero, Trinidad Padilla, Tomás Rodríguez and Matías Pozo (Saturday, January 23 to Sunday, February 28)
