Cervantes Institute: Contemporary cinema cycle in September

A cycle dedicated to Contemporary cinema will be organized from September 4 to 27 by the Cervantes Institute in Morocco, with the program showing four recent works of Spanish cinema.

These recent films of Spanish cinematographic production, directed by young filmmakers, constitute one of the most representative facets of its independent artistic production, the Institute said in a press release on Thursday.

The “Contemporaries” program offers two works of fiction and two documentaries that reflect, through different languages and themes, the coexistence between these two genres of creation in the contemporary cinematographic field.

This cycle of online Spanish cinema will start with the screening of “La mano invisible” (The invisible hand) (David Macían, 2017), followed by the titles “El mar nos mira de lejos” (The sea looks at us from afar) (Manuel Muñoz Rivas, 2017), “Los demás días” (The other days) (Carlos Agulló, 2017) and “La reconquista” (The reconquest) (Jonás Trueba, 2017).

Cinephiles can watch the titles of this cycle of cinema from the Vimeo channel of the Cervantes Institute, as part of its online programming, the same source specifies.
