Pancracio is absent from his house for a few days and his wife Leonarda along with her servant take the opportunity to receive a couple of guests. That night a traveler appears asking for an inn, he claims to be a student from Salamanca; Leonarda and her servant accept the young man. Everything seems to go as planned: they laugh, drink, cook and show pleasure, until Pancracio unexpectedly returns home, forcing the women to hide what is happening inside. The traveler takes advantage of the crossroads to take advantage of it and assembles a tetra using the stories that the popular imagination repeats about the devil in the Salamanca cave. With his witty verbiage he makes Pancracio believe that those men who have come out of hiding with food and drink are two demons. This Cervantes appetizer ends in a great feast.
