On the 24th of January, a traditional Thai wedding unfolded, blending age-old customs with modern elegance.The day began with the monks and engagement ceremonies, a cornerstone of Thai matrimonial traditions. Family photos were taken, capturing the unity of both families.Monks than offered prayers for prosperity, invoking blessings from the Buddha. The groom and bride participated in the ritual of offering food to the monks, a symbolic act of generosity and devotion.
The next ritual, led by Khun Pranai, saw the groom and his family process through the silver gate and golden gate, entering the ceremony room adorned with exquisite Thai dresses. This procession is a cherished tradition, symbolizing the groom’s journey to unite with his bride.
The engagement ceremony was presided over by distinguished figures. Dr. Pornthep-Khun Mayuree Pornprapha led the male engagement, while Mr. Prawit-Khun Thoranya Maleenon and Mae Kirati,pornprapha,Mae Ruang Thong Te Mirak oversaw the female engagement.
