The president of the Autonomous Executive Port Commission (CEPA), Federico Anliker, revealed that a 43% increase in passenger flow was recorded at the El Salvador International Airport.
CEPA indicated that between January 1 to February 29, 2024, the air terminal has served around 869,000 arrival, departure and connection passengers, which represents an increase of 43% compared to 2023.
Likewise, with respect to the arrival of commercial passenger flights, in the first two months, more than 7,600 commercial passenger flight operations have been attended, registering an increase of 29% compared to the same period in 2023.
In addition, in said period mentioned, aircraft landings also increased by 26% compared to 2023, at said aerodrome.
The freelancer reported that the flights came from the United States, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, among other countries in the world, which shows that the Salvadoran air terminal has experienced a positive variation by surpassing the figures of previous years.
