Dec 8 (Reuters) – More than 10 million people have signed up to the site this month, XV CEO Linda Yaccarino said in a post on the social media platform on Thursday.

This comes at a time when the company, formerly known as Twitter, faces the risk of incurring losses of up to 75 million in advertising revenue by the end of the year with major brands stopping their promotional campaigns on the platform, according to the New York Times.

Ex, which does not regularly publish user data, could not immediately be reached for comment on how December signups compared to the average or why Yaccarino revealed the number.

The platform’s billionaire owner, Elon Musk, said in July that the site had about 540 million monthly users.

Several companies, such as Apple (NASDAQ:), Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Paramount Global, announced last month that they would temporarily stop advertising on X.

Musk cursed advertisers who left the platform after he agreed with a user who claimed that Jews were fueling hatred against white people.
