Hamada Anwar, a member of Zamalek’s board of directors, confirmed that the entire board will go to Cairo Stadium next Friday to attend the final match of the African Champions League against Al-Ahly.
“The entire board of directors will definitely attend the final match of the Champions League,” Anwar said in a phone statement to the “Al-Allaib” program on MBC Egypt on Tuesday evening.
He added: “Counselor Mortada Mansour, President of Zamalek Club, if he wanted to be in the African final, he would be present, this matter would come back to his desire.”
And about the extent of Zamalek’s concern about the Corona swab that the team will conduct on Wednesday morning, Anwar replied: “Any player you will lose, whether in Zamalek or Al-Ahly, will be influential, that is normal.”
He indicated that Mohamed Abdel-Ghani and Mohamed Abdel Salam, the Zamalek defense duo, will compensate Mahmoud Hamdi Al-Wensh if it is confirmed that he is absent from Al-Ahly’s confrontation due to his infection with Corona.
Hamada Anwar pointed out that the swab performed by Moroccan duo Ashraf Bencharki and Tunisian Ferjani Sassi was negative, adding that they participated in Zamalek training naturally.
“There is no worry about the match, we are talking about a history. It is an honor for any player to participate in this exceptional match, and winning the title will be followed by participation in the Club World Cup,” he concluded.
