As evidence of its CSR commitment, its desire to promote diversity and prevent discrimination, Centrale Nantes signed on Thursday 13 October the Charter of LGBT + Commitment for Higher Education of L’Autre Cercle, a French association that works for the inclusion of LGBT + people.
The signing ceremony took place in person and by videoconference, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Research, Sylvie Retailleau. The LGBT + Commitment Charter for Higher Education was established sinceOther Circlein collaboration with Caélif and FAGE.
With this signature, Centrale Nantes is committed to its staff and students to create an attentive and inclusive work and study environment, where everyone can feel free to be themselves, regardless of their sexual orientation and gender identity. It is also a commitment to train our students to become the responsible and inclusive professionals of tomorrow.
The signing of the charter is part of the school’s broader commitment to LGBTQIA + people, in particular through the creation of the Commission for Diversity on Equality and the appointment in June 2022 of a representative for diversity equality.
