Centrale Danone announced that it has achieved B Corp certification, a distinction awarded by the independent organization B Lab. This certification attests to the company’s compliance with rigorous standards in terms of social and environmental performance, transparency and responsibility.
The audit carried out by B Lab evaluates the company according to five aspects:
- Governance : Transparency and commitment to a social mission that benefits all.
- Environment : Implementation of resource management practices that respect the planet.
- Collaborators : Creation of a fulfilling work environment, promoting professional development and employee well-being.
- Communities : Active involvement in civic initiatives to strengthen the local social fabric.
- Consumers : Sustainable and ethical practices throughout the supply chain to build trust.
The certification covers all of Centrale Danone’s activities, highlighting its commitment to a project that is both economic and social, in line with Danone’s overall mission: “Bringing health through food to as many people as possible,” according to a press release from the group.
And adding that this B Corp status recognizes the company’s efforts to go beyond simple profitability, by placing social and environmental responsibility at the heart of its strategy. Centrale Danone collaborates with its partners, whether grocers, farmers or employees, to promote sustainable practices and guarantee access to healthy and nutritious food, the text continues.
