“A member of the Paskibraka, the daughter of the Central Sulawesi ambassador, who wears a hijab, has appeared without a hijab on her head. When we confirmed to other departments, whose daughter Paskibraka was also wearing the hijab, she had the same condition. “, he explained.
Rachmat admitted that he knew that the Paskibraka from Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi did not wear the hijab when he saw President Joko Widodo inaugurating the 76 Paskibraka who would serve in the IKN on August 17 through The YouTube channel of the President’s Secretary, yesterday.
“All we know is, we’re shocked, shocked. Not all female Paskibraka participants at the national level can be seen wearing the hijab anymore. I have seen it several times and I confirmed that no one wears the hijab anymore and also the representative of Central Sulawesi, Zahra Aisyah, from Morowali Regency also I don’t wear the hijab anymore,” he explained.
With the ban on the use of the hijab for Paskibraka women, said Rachmat, it harms the ideas of the founders of the country who wanted diversity as a tool of unity within the framework of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Then, article 29 of the 1945 Constitution affirms that Indonesia is based on the belief in One Almighty God and guarantees freedom to all citizens to practice their religious teachings.
Rachmat hopes that President Joko Widodo can respond to the alleged ban on the hijab for the Paskibraka woman who will serve at IKN in the future.
“We ask President Joko Widodo to comprehensively evaluate the implementation of the 2024 Paskibraka program at the central level,” he concluded.
Until this news was published, there had been no information from BPIP regarding the alleged ban on wearing the headscarf for Paskibraka 2024.
