Central Java PDIP DPC Called Disliked Ganjar, 2018 Gubernatorial Election Proof?

Jakarta

PDIP judged to be at a loss if he released the Governor of Central Java (Central Java) Pranowo reward as a cadre just like that even though Ganjar is said to be disliked by the PDIP branch leadership boards (DPC) throughout Central Java.

“If PDIP releases Ganjar like that, as stated by Bambang Wuryanto, it is clearly a big loss for PDIP,” said Executive Director of the Institute for Democracy & Strategic Affairs Ahmad Khoirul Umam to reporters, Sunday (30/5/2021).

“Indeed, it has been a long time since the administrators of the Central Java DPD and Central Java DPC did not like Ganjar. Even since Ganjar became governor for the first period,” he added.

Umam calls victory Pranowo reward in the 2018 Central Java gubernatorial election, this was achieved thanks to the support of the son of KH Maimun Zubair or Mbah Moen, Gus Yasin. As an incumbent, Umam assessed that the 58 percent vote was not feasible.

“So actually Ganjar’s victory in the 2018 gubernatorial election was also widely supported by the voice of Gus Yasin (students of Mbah Maemun Zubair, Rembang). We can see this from the results of Ganjar’s vote in the 2018 gubernatorial election as much as 58 percent, while the challenger Sudirman Said “Ida Fauziyah got 41 percent. For an incumbent who is supported by the PDIP in Central Java, getting 58 percent in my opinion is very little,” said Umam.

Back to Ganjar’s future in PDIP. Umam saw that the statement by the Chairperson of the PDIP Election Winning Body (Bapilu) Bambang Wuryanto who invited Ganjar to leave could actually have a negative impact.

“But on the other hand, indeed, Bambang Wuryanto’s treatment of Ganjar has the potential to open up public questions about the relevance of the PDIP ‘cadre party’ claim,” said Umam.

“While the function of regeneration still has to be subject to elite lines and party patronage, then the model of political party regeneration clearly does not show the true character of democracy. These methods are closer to ‘guided democracy’, which is not a genuine variant of the democratic system,” continued he.
