JAKARTA, suaramerdeka.com – The Central Java men’s volleyball team won fifth place in the 2024 PON XXI qualifying event on Sabut (28/10). This is because Central Java has beaten Yogyakarta in 5 sets of matches.
Meanwhile, the Yogyakarta squad, because they lost with a score of 2-3 to Central Java, must now be willing to sit in sixth place in the 2023 pre-PON round on Saturday (28/10) at Gor Bulungan, Jakarta.
The big match, which was much awaited by spectators in both provinces, was chaired by a national referee named Enggun Gunawan.

Central Java managed to beat Yogyakarta in the first, third and fifth sets of the qualifying volleyball match for PON XXI 2024.
In the first set, Central Java beat DIY with a score of 25-20. Then in the third set with a score of 25-23 and at the end of the match with a score of 16-14.
Meanwhile, Yogyakarta, which was trying to fend off repeated attacks from Central Java, was able to win in the second and fourth sets.
With fifth place for Central Java and sixth for Yogyakarta, the two teams still qualify for PON XXI 2024 in Aceh Province.

Previously, Moji TV also broadcast the match between West Nusa Tenggara and Banten with a win in the NTB camp.
So with NTB’s victory they had to be satisfied with being in seventh place while Banten had to be the caretaker of the 2023 Pre-PON at Gor Bulungan Jakarta.
In the match between NTB and Banten, the score was the same as the match between Central Java and Yogyakarta, 3-2.
Meanwhile, the final match will be held on Sunday, October 29 2023, between West Java and East Java.
