Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo open up if you are to blame for it flood that happened in several regions. He emphasized that regional heads and field officers have tried hard to deal with the flood.
Ganjar expressed this for the first time through his Twitter account which answered @ aditya180204’s tweet about the floods in Semarang, which reads “Whereas if you want, Mr. @ganjarpranowo can blame the mayor and then blame the water sent by Ungaran”.
Through the @ganjarpranowo account, Ganjar replied, “I was wrong. The others are working well”.
Responding to his taunts, Ganjar explained that he as the Governor deserves to be blamed if indeed in a disaster there must be someone responsible.
“If you want to blame, just blame me. (Flood) You are in Pekalongan, you are in Kudus, you are in Pati, you are in Semarang City, right? Because you want someone to take responsibility and be blamed, it would be better to blame the Governor because there are many friends. in the City District they have done extraordinary work, “said Ganjar when met at his official residence, Wednesday (23/2) night.
Ganjar Pranowo explained, there are indeed things that are not published about how to handle disasters including the coordination that is carried out both at the regional level and what it does.
“People never know that at this hour I am still in contact with the Water Resources Office, checking what kind of evaluation, what kind of construction, then the area that was flood now what kind of handling it looks like, do not know. We contacted Daops in Tawang, they didn’t know, we communicated with the RT-RW or those who complained about whether the aid had arrived, they didn’t know, “explained Ganjar.
“I do not publish things like this, still in the sociological context, people will definitely look for who is responsible. I’d better take over the responsibility, so that everyone can work calmly,” he added.
He then shared his experience of meeting pump officials during the observation on Wednesday (23/2) yesterday. It turned out that the pump workers were struggling, and some were even on duty for up to 24 hours to monitor the pump to keep it running.
“At the Berok (pump house) I asked, how many people are you, ‘one person sir’, 24 hours? ‘I am the one responsible for this pump,’ who wants to work like that, they work amazingly,” he said.
Ganjar also reminded him about the waste which turned out to have an effect on pump performance. During the monitoring, he also saw a pile of rubbish being taken from the drain which had disturbed the running of the pump.
“There is no one dump truck, maybe only about a quarter. But if a quarter goes into the pump, the pump dies. So it needs community support to care about protecting the environment,” he said. Ganjar Pranowo.
