Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero defeated Newell’s on penalties (3-2) and qualified for the quarterfinals of the Argentine Cup. For the 12th round, Ferroviario will face Temperley in the quarterfinals. The team from the Primera Nacional is currently eleventh in Zone B. It will receive Banfield on Monday at 4:00 p.m. in one of the matches that will close the activity. Meanwhile, Newell’s will visit River Plate on Sunday at 8:30 p.m.

The quarter-finals were completed on one side, as Central Córdoba-Temperley is joined by Huracán-Talleres de Remedios de Escalada. On the other side, the only confirmed match is Vélez, who are waiting for the winner of Independiente-Godoy Cruz. Meanwhile, Boca Juniors-Talleres de Córdoba and Barracas Central-Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata will define the other key.

It is worth remembering that the champion of this tournament, in addition to adding a star at the national level, will earn a place in the next Copa Libertadores de América.
