On July 21, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a symposium for non-Party people in Zhongnanhai to listen to the opinions and suggestions of the central committees of the democratic parties, the leaders of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and representatives of non-party people on the current economic situation and economic work in the second half of the year. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China presided over the symposium and delivered an important speech emphasizing that to do economic work in the second half of the year, we must adhere to the general tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, fully, accurately and comprehensively implement the new development concept, accelerate the construction of a new development pattern, comprehensively deepen reform and opening up, increase macro policy regulation, focus on expanding domestic demand, boost confidence, and prevent risks.
