In Central Bohemia, snow and traffic complicated traffic in the morning and in the morning, as in other regions. Road workers put all the spreaders in the field. According to Kupka, however, the technology did not work at all somewhere due to failures.

Outages in road interventions occurred on some second and third class roads in the Beroun region, in Povltava and also in the district of Prague-West. According to the deputy, the regional road administration sent information on snow forecasts to all centers on Wednesday evening, and all centers were on standby.

Road workers have their hands full since morning.

“I could understand the slower reaction in the event of a sudden snowstorm, but not in the expected snowfall, and therefore fines will be imposed for deficiencies in winter maintenance,” said Kupka. In the afternoon, he met with suppliers and responsible road administration and maintenance staff. According to him, the negotiations resulted in an agreement on measures that should prevent similar problems in the future.

The police recorded a larger number of accidents on Thursday, the worst consequences were the collision of two cars near Kostelec nad Černými lesy. Two people died near her, two others were injured. One car apparently skidded on a slippery road and crashed into another.

Regular buses also had problems. In the morning, Prague’s integrated transport faced the greatest difficulties in the vicinity of Štěchovice, Jílové near Prague and Černošice.
