Central Bank of Turkey’s Reserve Assets Increase by $1.83 Billion in First Week of July

The reserve assets of the Central Bank of Turkey increased by $1.83 billion in the first week of July, to reach $110.41 billion, compared to the end of last June.

This came in weekly monetary and banking data issued Thursday by the Central Bank of Turkey, which includes reserve assets (foreign exchange and gold reserves).

The total foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank amounted to 69 billion and 836 million dollars, at the end of July 7.

On the other hand, gold reserves until the end of the period amounted to about 40 billion and 580 million dollars.

Data from the World Gold Council indicate that Turkey ranks 13th in the world, as the largest holder of yellow metal reserves, with a total of 428.4 tons.
