Center to suppress strike; Farmers reject ultimatum to leave on 11th, anything can happen in Gazipur

Delhi: The Central Government has taken a firm stand against the farmers’ strike. Police are determined to evacuate the farmers’ protest venue in Gazipur. The ultimatum given to the protesters was to leave before 11 pm. The farmers’ response was a warning that strict action would be taken if it did not change. Farmers’ leader Rakesh Tikayat said the police would be responsible for whatever happened during the strike.
