Due to the current crises and challenges, Europe is once again a topic in the classroom. Teachers can help young people find their place in the European Union: by critically communicating European problems, but also and above all by discussing and elaborating possible solutions.

Schools also need a critical awareness of Europe. People have to worry and criticize the EU for it to move forward. How do young people really see the EU? What do you like, but what annoys you? Is there really a European identity? And which EU institution is responsible for what?

Teachers have many issues to consider when bringing the EU into the classroom. They often expect Euroscepticism and disinterest. How can a constructive discussion about Europe be successful at school?
