This year we celebrate the centenary of the birth of Andrei Sakharov, Soviet physicist and political dissident. Known first for being the father of the Soviet “H” bomb, Andrei Sakharov waged a bitter struggle against social injustice, called for the release of dissidents in his country and became one of the “loudest critics” Against the regime. Andrei Sakharov received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1975.
