In an exciting meeting and at the height of the legendary rivalry between the Lakers and Celtics, Boston prevailed in overtime thanks to a performance by Jayson Tatum (44 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists) against two magnificent performances by Anthony Davis (37 points, 12 rebounds) and LeBron James (33 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists).
The Celtics were winning by 20 points in the third quarter, the Lakers reacted with a 5-32 between the penultimate and the last period to reach +13 but collapsed in the last minutes and in overtime they lowered their arms totally exhausted.
BUCKS 128 – WARRIORS 111
With a terrible 2-12 at home, the Golden State Warriors returned to bite the dust away from San Francisco when they fell to the Milwaukee Bucks of a great Giannis Antetokounmpo (30 points and 12 rebounds).
Stephen Curry was Golden State’s leading scorer with 20 points but wasn’t good at shooting (6-of-17) and Spaniard Serge Ibaka ran out of minutes again in Milwaukee.
ROCKETS 111 – ONLY 97
Completely sunk, the Phoenix Suns slipped into a coma after chaining up their fifth straight loss after losing to the Houston Rockets, who are bottom of the west.
Jalen Green (26 points and 7 rebounds) led the Rockets by Spaniard Usman Garuba (5 rebounds and one assist in 10 minutes) while Chris Paul (16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists) stood out in a dismal Suns without Devin Booker and that they made just 13 of 51 in triples.
JAZZ 121 – PELICANS 100
After seven straight wins that put them leading in the West, the Pelicans lost to the Utah Jazz, in which Lauri Markkanen added 19 points and 11 rebounds and who took advantage of New Orleans’ ridiculous 4-of-27 three-point shooting.
Zion Williamson had 26 points and 9 rebounds for the Pelicans; Puerto Rican José Alvarado contributed 4 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists in 17 minutes; and Spaniard Willy Hernangómez had 9 points, one rebound and 2 assists in just 6 minutes.
SIX 123 – KING 103
With enormous authority, the Philadelphia 76ers added their third consecutive win by defeating the Sacramento Kings in a game they had already dominated with 28 points in the second quarter and completely controlled at halftime (80-55).
Joel Embiid (31 points and 7 rebounds in just 30 minutes) and James Harden (21 points, 7 rebounds and 15 assists) shone for the Sixers while in an unanswered Kings the most outstanding was Domantas Sabonis (22 points and 10 rebounds ). .
