Livingston, Scotland.
Celtic was left with ten players half an hour into their visit to the Tony Macaroni Arena in Livingston but still did not suffer to win their match on the sixth day of the Scottish Premiership (Scotland’s First Division) that they dominate with authority.
Brendan Rodgers’ team sentenced the match in inferiority. He took the lead after a quarter of an hour with the goal of the Japanese Reo Hatate, from a penalty and then suffered the expulsion of goalkeeper Joe Hart who ran over Mohammed Sangare outside the area when he was heading into his goal alone.
Still, Celtic rounded out their performance. At the beginning of the second half he scored the second goal signed by the Dane MAtthew O’Riley and in added time, the Glasgow team rounded off their success thanks to the Japanese Daizen Maeda.
Celtic consolidates the leadership of the Scottish League with 16 points. With five wins and a draw they are two points ahead of St. Mirren, second.
WHAT HAPPENED TO LUIS PALMA?
Honduran Luis Palma had to watch the game from the bench, as he did last week against Dundee, but in that game coming on as a substitute for 30 minutes. The former Vida had no participation against Livingston.
It should be noted that Palma could have played today, but Celtic’s starting goalkeeper, Joe Hart, was sent off in the 28th minute after making a poor start. This surely changed Brendan Rodgers’ plans.
After this match, Palma and other substitute players were seen training at the Livingston stadium before leaving for Glasgow and while the coach gave statements.
The catracho footballer started midweek in the UEFA Champions League match against Feyenoord; he was even the player with the most dribbles (8) in the match, and he only played 54 minutes.
In the next game, Palma could continue adding minutes in the Scottish League, the ‘Hoops’ visit Motherwell on matchday seven. This match will be played at 5:30 in the morning next Saturday, September 30.
