“Celtics continue dominance over Hawks in NBA playoff series”

After having won the first game of the series Sunday (112-99), the Celtics did it again with ease this Wednesday on their floor by dominating Atlanta in the same widths (119-106). If the Hawks started better this time than last weekend, notably posting a better success at 3 points, they could not resist for long against the players from Massachusetts.

Derrick White (26 points, 7 rebounds) and Malcolm Brogdon accelerated at the end of the first quarter to put the C’s on track for victory. At the break, Boston was already leading easily (61-49) and was only going to increase its lead over the minutes.

While Jayson Tatum was again making a boss game (29 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists), the Hawks failed to break through the opposing defense. Only Dejounte Murray (29 points) and De’Andre Hunter (18 points, 12 rebounds) were able, in sequence, to shake up the Celtics a bit. But without really worrying them on the scoreboard.

In the end, the Celtics, second in the Eastern Conference, assumed their status as home favorites. They seem more determined than ever to end the series in the next two games in Georgia in order to reach the Conference semi-finals as quickly as possible.
