Jaylen Brown scored 20 of his 33 points in the third quarter and the Boston Celtics ended their three-game losing streak Sunday by easily outscoring the Cleveland Cavaliers 141-103.
Kemba Walker added 21 points, Daniel Theis scored 17, Carsen Edwards had 15 and Marcus Smart 12 for Boston, which posted a team-best for the season in one half, going into halftime with a 73-51 lead. Brown only played 19 minutes.
Collin Sexton led Cleveland with 13 points, below his average of 26.8 points per game, the best on the team. The loss ended the Cavaliers’ three-win streak.
After posting impressive back-to-back victories against the Brooklyn Nets, shooting 147 and 125 respectively, the Cavaliers were simply no match on Sunday.
Boston made several lightning attacks and made easy shots. For their part, the Cavaliers missed 10 of their first 13 attempts.
