Celtics 95-123 Nets – NBA Two wins from two for the Nets
Kevin Durant is back and is starting to form a partnership with Kyrie Irving, with pair combining for 66 points in the Brooklyn Nets‘ 123-95 win over the Boston Celtics.
The Nets trailed at half time in this Christmas Day match, but a strong second half saw them make it two wins from two to start the new season.
Irving played 33 minutes and, in that time, he scored 37 points, had six rebounds and provided eight assists against his former team. Shooting from deep, he converted seven out of his 10 three-point attempts.
Durant played the same amount of time and had 29 points, four rebounds and three assists at the TD Garden.
Durant couldn’t play last season due to his Achilles injury, but is back and ready to take on the rest of the NBA with Irving. Steve Nash‘s team have certainly gotten off to a great start.
