Celtic CEO Peter Lawwell described the deliberate burning of his home as a “devastating attack” on him and his family.
A masked man was caught on CCTV setting three cars on fire outside Lawwell’s home in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The fire in Thorntonhall, South Lanarkshire, caused extensive damage to a garage.
“This has been a devastating attack on me and my family, the effects of which will remain with all of us for a long time,” Lawwell said in a statement.
“Of course, I am extremely relieved that everyone is safe. I would like to thank my wife and family for their support and for the strength and courage they have shown during such a difficult time. “
The fire quickly spread to his house.

Three cars were set on fire outside his £ 2 million property in South Lanarkshire, and flames spread to an annex where the 61-year-old man’s daughter and baby granddaughter slept.
Mr Lawwell thanked the Fire Service and the Scottish Police for their ‘support and professionalism’.
He added: “I also thank the Celtic Board and the Celtic staff for all the support they have given me. It has been fantastic and sincerely appreciated.
“As a family, we have received literally thousands of messages of support from Celtic fans and from across the world football family.
“This has provided us with great comfort and we all offer our sincere thanks for the concern and support that people have shown.”
Lawwell confirmed in January that he would retire at the end of June after 17 years at Celtic. He has been replaced by Dominic McKay, who has already moved from Scottish Rugby to fill the position.
