NEW YORK – On Wednesday, the New York City Police Department announced a search for two men linked to an armed robbery at a Brooklyn cell phone store.
The two strangers walked into a Metro by T-Mobile store located at 825 Van Siclen Ave. on Tuesday, October 18, in the East New York section of the borough.
Once at the shop, one of the men allegedly showed a firearm to a 30-year-old shop employee and held it close to his abdomen, police said. The second man withdrew about $ 866 from the cash register. The two then asked to be admitted to an employee-only room and took the victim’s bag, which contained approximately $ 400.
The unidentified men also took three cell phones from the store, before leaving the scene and heading south on Van Siclen Avenue on foot.
The 30-year-old woman suffered minor injuries as a result of the accident and refused medical attention on the spot.
Authorities have released surveillance videos and images of the men, which can be seen above.
