O’Higgins de Rancagua achieved its second consecutive victory in the Primera B of women’s soccer 2024. The light blue team, on the weekend, visited Deportes Recoleta at the Bernardo O’Higgins municipal stadium where they beat the local team 1-2.
Diana Quezada opened the account in the 3′, but the textiles matched the numbers in the 38′ through Emiliana Vidal.
The winning goal was scored by Alejandra Manzo in the 56th minute, thus giving the Rancagüinas new three points. The next date, to be played on Sunday the 21st, at the Monasterio Celeste they will host AC Barnechea.
DEFEAT OF SANTA CRUZ
A new defeat, the third in a row, was noted by Deportes Santa Cruz. Over the weekend, playing in the capital, the union team lost 5-2 against Barnechea.
Of course, the Colchagüino team opened the account in the 24th minute through Francisca Fuentes. Then, the home team equalized in the 25th minute thanks to Lissette Flores, and again Santa Cruz took the lead in the 36th minute with Yasnna Aliaga as the protagonist.
Later, and before the break, the Huaicocheras equalized with Antonia Saldaño (42′).
In the second half, Muriel Rodríguez (46′), Maite Torres (49′) and Camila Vega (52′) sealed the final 5-2.
