Chef Foa, juror on the Masterchef show, broadcast by ProTV in 2021, sent a message on Instagram following the information that he was caught driving drunk. The chef said that he was looking for perfection “only in the kitchen” and that “at the weekend I took the fun too far”: “I was wrong”, he said.
G4Media reported on Monday that Florin Scripcă was detected in traffic, in Bucharest, positive for two drugs: cocaine and cannabis. The police later announced that “4 cigarettes likely to contain a plant substance with a pungent smell” were also found on him. A criminal case was opened.
Chef Foa’s message
“My dears, you know me well. I’ve always wanted perfection in one place: the kitchen. Otherwise, I never had the pretension to such a thing. So I’m not hiding from you and I’m saying it bluntly. Over the weekend we took the fun too far. I was wrong.
I respect my job, I respect my fans, my friends, my partners, I love my family and I’m sorry to disappoint you. I am sorry that my accident has affected colleagues and partners, but personal and professional life are different things.
In the kitchen it’s easy to fix it, when you make a mistake, in life it’s not so simple.
All in all, an experience like this is life changing, it helps you become more aware of the things you have and don’t want to lose. So I will take some time with my family and loved ones, where it is best for me.
I will then return to the kitchen, with more discipline and demands on myself. Thank you for being here.”
