When Johan Derksen calls SBS 6 a camping station, Albert breaks in. “I love camping,” he says. Wilfred’s ears start to chatter. “Have you ever been on a campsite?” he asks. “I’ve camped a lot in my life,” replies the showbiz king.
“I’m a small tractor, you don’t want to know that,” he continues. “I really can’t imagine anything about that,” says Wilfred, still surprised. “In the beginning, when Onno (Hoes, ed.) and I were together, we had such an igloo tent. I was already on TV. And then we just went to Vlieland or Spain with that igloo tent,” says Albert .
Will Albert not be recognized as a celebrity at a campsite? “I already saw some people watching: there is one from the television. You are not concerned with that, but people see it anyway. Someone had already walked back and forth three times and comes to me and says: ‘Rolf Wouters, I always enjoy your programs so much.”
