In recent years, several children of famous actors have been inspired by their parents and entered the industry themselves. Among others, Linn Skåber’s children, Atle Antonsen and Pia Tjelta followed in the footsteps of their parents and became actors.
Jentetur current daughters Janne Formoe (47) and Line Verndal (50) have also expressed a desire to follow their mothers’ career choice, but their parents have somewhat mixed feelings about it.

Both Formoe and Verndal have a very successful acting career behind them, but they can’t help but tell the brutal truth about the industry to their daughters.
– Ugh, it’s a difficult sector, Formoe tells Nettavisen.
– Not just funny stuff
Formoe himself was inspired by his actor-parent, Terje Formoe (72). He is best known for playing Captain Sabertooth and her daughter began her acting career at 14 when she starred in her father’s children’s show.
Becoming the third generation of actors in the family is something Formoe’s daughter, 17-year-old Felicia Karlsen (17), daydreams about her mother can reveal.

According to the “Next Summer” star, there is no doubt that her daughter is very interested in the acting profession and the 17-year-old is currently studying acting in high school.
But even though the 47-year-old believes that being an actress is the funniest job in the world, and gives all her support to her daughter if she goes into the profession too, she still makes a request:
– I tell her she has to work hard and not take things lightly. This profession isn’t just about the red carpet and fun stuff, says Formoe.
Line Verndal (50), co-actor in “Jentetur”, may refer to Formoe’s call. Verndal also has a teenage daughter interested in the profession.
However, Verndal is a bit more skeptical that her daughter, Helle Verndal Reiten (17), will enter the industry and makes no secret that she would rather her 17-year-old daughter open her eyes to another profession.

The actress, also known for the TV series “Himmelblå”, has experienced her share of rejection throughout her career, and has had to learn to deal with it. But she doesn’t want to see her daughter experience the same thing.
– I was joking and I said I would like him to come up with something else, because it’s so difficult, says the 50-year-old in Nettavisen.
He tried to restrain his daughter
Both Karlsen and Verndal Reiten grew up in a home with entertainers, and so perhaps it’s not surprising that the girls are inspired by their successful mothers.
Verndal’s daughter attends the dance department in high school and the 50-year-old explains that she and her daughter speak the same language when it comes to music and theater. But her interest in it was something she wanted her daughter to discover for herself.
– I never entered her in any auditions when she was younger. I actually tried to keep her away for a while, says Verndal.

On the other hand, Formoe, over the years, has often taken his daughter with him to various jobs and film sets. The fascination with the industry must have started at a young age for Formoe’s daughter, and it has only grown over time.
– She sat and waited for me on movie sets, and saw for herself how much work you have to do, says the 47-year-old.
Even though Verndal wants his daughter to freely choose which industry to end up in, he can’t resist flooding his daughter with acting advice.
– Oh yes, my God, Verndal laughs.
– When he tells me what he did in the magazine and what kind of skits he will do, I give advice. Everything has to be “debriefed,” she adds with a laugh.
