The dress code for the event was “in honour of Karl,” and Rihanna stole the show in a bridal gown inspired by French fashion house Chanel, complete with camellias, the designer’s favourite flower. Jennifer Lopez donned a checkered Burberry suit, while famous faces like Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevigne, and Penelope Cruz paid tribute to Lagerfeld through their outfits. The event was co-chaired by stars like Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel, and Roger Federer, and featured a plethora of archival Chanel items and Lagerfeld-inspired designs. Dame Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue, described Lagerfeld as a visionary who invented many things while also remaining intrinsically chic.
