Celebrities advocating for surrogacy laws: Camelia’s story

Camelia didn’t talk directly about surrogacy, but she said enough

Pop-folk diva Camelia made up her mind. She finally stood up and announced the truth about her greatest happiness – her baby with Tsvetin – on air, and on a national one. In Nikolaos Tsitiridis’ show, Kami started with exactly that – with the huge number of people in our country who cannot become parents in a normal way, reported 7dnibulgaria.bg.

Yes, Camellia didn’t talk directly about surrogacy, but she said enough. Like the fact that our country should think and introduce a law for such parenting, which has long been in place even in our neighboring country.

“Why do these people who have problems and cannot give birth to a child, why do they have to feel doomed, suffer, turn to alcohol, and some even take their own lives. Why?! Why, since most of them would be wonderful parents, for example, and would give wonderful children to our Bulgaria. After all, we need children in order to solve the demographic problem, which is becoming more and more serious,” asks Kamelia.

She herself did not hide that after a 15-year hard battle for a child, which she could not and could not win, she was at the bottom many times. “I have experienced all the possible feelings in the world – from short-lived joy and hope, through despair and grief, to malice and even envy, and then to depression. Everything. But I didn’t give up. I never gave up, because this has always been my biggest dream,” said the singer, who together with Tsvetin will celebrate their first Christmas with Bayan.
