Dhe Rohrbach local Friends of Nature group invited deserving members to a “tasty snack” on the occasion of their birthdays.
It is a tradition for the around 300 members of the Rohrbach local Friends of Nature group to honor club members on the occasion of round or semi-round birthdays. On Saturday it was time again. “Up to now, we have always taken the birthday children with us to the annual general meetings
surprised by a little attention,” says the Naturefriends chairman
Johann Gurmann and the deputy chairman Hannelore Gauppmann.
Since January of this year, however, the association’s board of directors has decided to celebrate these anniversaries in a very special setting: at the association’s own Lindenstein refuge. With almost summer temperatures, five jubilees were able to enjoy a “tasty hut snack”, a gift from the association, in a relaxed atmosphere.
Rohrbach’s “carpenter’s original”, Franz Kadi, celebrated his 75th birthday. This was toasted at the refuge as well as with Johann Hable, who celebrated his 70s at the end of March. Sepp Steyrer, who was the secretary of the association for decades and looked after the association’s homepage, also turned seventy at the beginning of April. The couple who run the Lindensteinhütte, Herta Reischer and Franz Gschaider, also had reason to celebrate: both turned 65. In the presence of numerous officials and visitors to the hut, chairman Johann Gurmann and deputy Hannelore Gauppmann warmly congratulated the jubilarians.
